New London Connecticut based Cross Sound ferry's M.V. John H is inbound Thames River approaching the New London terminal on July 11th 2006.
Interesting notes:
The John H. was built in 1989 by Eastern Marine Shipyard in Panama City, Florida exclusively for Cross Sound Ferry. It is the largest ferry in operation to be classed under the US Coast Guard's Subchapter T regulations. The ferry features a dual level auto deck, children's entertainment area, lounge, snack bar, public phones, and a movie theater cabin. Along with the Cape Henlopen , it is the largest, most comfortable vessel in the fleet. It has recently been fitted with a new elevator for passengers with a disability or needing assistance.
